Tapital Gains

You run one business at a time, and it fills the Business page. Your Balance sits at the top with your income per second. The ring in the top-left fills as you get closer to evolving into the next business. The 🎯 mission always shows your best next move (on phones: the round button on the Balance card; on computers: the Mission line in the left menu).

On phones, the bar at the bottom has five tabs: 🏪 Business, 💹 Invest, 🎰 Casino, 📬 Mail and ☰ Menu. Menu holds everything else in three pairs: Grow (Restructure, Accolades), Account (Finances, Mission & news) and Help (How to play, Settings). Pages opened from Menu have a ‹ Menu link at the top. On computers every page is listed in the left menu. Esc goes back one step.

Every unit you own pays into your Balance every second. Pick how many to buy at the top (1 / 10 / 100 / Next / Max), then tap Buy. ⚡ Buy all spends your Balance on the best mix of units and research; 🎨 next to it changes the game's theme. Owning 25, 50, 100 and 200 units (then every 100 more) doubles that business's income. Tap the picture for its stats.

Common research (blue tab) is paid with cash and belongs to the business you run: 📈 Income Boost (+140% income per level) and 🧬 Succession (keep +25% more income when you evolve). It resets when you evolve or restructure.

Epic research (purple tab) is paid with Gold Bars and is permanent: it stays through evolving, restructuring and going public. Gold Bars arrive rarely, at random, in the Mail Room while you play (about one letter every 20–45 minutes of play). Open the letter and collect them.

At 100 units the Evolve bar lights up. Tap 🧬 Evolve now (twice, to be sure): your business closes and the next, bigger one opens from 0 units. Your Balance comes with you. Every closed business leaves +50% income per 100 units it had for the rest of the run, so growing past 100 first pays off. Your 20 businesses come in four eras; the last one (🌌 Cosmic) opens after your first IPO.

Tap the big Run Operations area at the bottom (or press Space/Enter) for instant cash: a flat amount plus a share of your income per second. ⚡ Click Power levels up on its own as you tap (level 2 at 10 taps, 5 at 300, 10 at 1,900…) and is kept for life.

Missions point at your next step and pay a reward the moment you finish one (every 5th is a bigger 🎁 chest). Come back on a new day and your first mission of the day pays double (your 🔥 streak counts the days in a row). Badges on the Accolades page pay a cash reward (bronze ≈ 1 minute of income, up to platinum ≈ 15 minutes + 3 tokens). Everything is collected for you.

Glowing icons float across the screen now and then. Tap one for a cash windfall or a short boost before it fades.

Once this run has earned $100M (the 🏁 line under your Balance), open 📈 Restructure: you start over at the 🍋 Lemonade Stand with Enterprise Tokens, each adding +25% to all income. You get 3 tokens at $100M, about 6 at $1B and 14 at $10B, so waiting longer pays more. Spend tokens in the 🛍️ Token shop on permanent perks if you like (a spent token stops adding income; Refund all gives them back). Trading profits count fully as revenue, but only part of each sale counts toward the goal.

Later, the Restructure page offers a bigger reset: going public ($1Qi earned in one run). It also resets your tokens and perks, and pays Legacy 🏛️ to spend in the Boardroom on upgrades that are never reset: Shareholder Value, Token Mint, Token Power, Golden Parachute, Perk Memory and Extended Hours. Your first IPO also opens the 🌌 Cosmic era.

hoodwink (a totally trustworthy trading app) has three markets: Stocks (the S&P-ish 500 ETF, SPYY, is the calm one), Crypto (big swings both ways) and Options. Tap anything to open it, then Buy or Sell in dollars or units; orders fill at once with a 1% fee. The Portfolio tab lists what you own. Prices wander around a fair value, so buying low and selling high is how you profit. A market day lasts 5 minutes. Only gains count as revenue.

Bet on where a stock (or SPYY) goes before a deadline. A call pays if the price ends above its strike, a put if it ends below. One contract covers 100 shares; at expiry you get the difference × 100, or nothing. The price you pay is the most you can lose, and you can sell back any time. One order can be at most 25% of your net worth.

Once you've earned $2,500, a politician or a fellow CEO sometimes mails you a tip: a stock or coin that will move by an exact % on a named market day, or a recession warning. Tips are always right. The letter has buttons to open the asset in hoodwink (and to sell everything before a recession).

Everything in the Casino uses in-game money only: there is no real money and nothing to buy. Three games, all paid from your Balance (winnings don't count as revenue). Roulette: European, one zero; a number pays 35 to 1, dozens and columns 2 to 1, colours and halves 1 to 1. Blackjack: dealer stands on 17, blackjack pays 3 to 2; Hit, Stand, Double, Split and Insurance. Poker: a Texas Hold'em sit & go against five bots; 1st place wins 65% of the buy-ins, 2nd 35%. A game you close halfway is refunded next time. Chips grow with your Balance; tap % to bet a share of it instead (1%, 5%, 10%, 25% or All). From the 🏙️ Big Business era on, winning a round with at least 10% of your money on the table also pays a 👑 high-roller prize: ×2 income for 5 minutes (×3 for 10 minutes on a 10× win), once every 15 minutes.

Found a bug or have an idea? Use Settings → Send feedback. Your game is saved only in this browser (clearing site data or a long break in Safari can erase it), so use Settings → Back up / restore save to keep a copy. Analytics only run if you allow them: see the Privacy page.

Every few minutes a letter arrives: some are just funny, others hold checks or boosts to collect. The Rankings tab on Accolades compares your lifetime revenue with 10 made-up rivals; pass one and its CEO may write to you.

Your business keeps paying while you're away (up to the offline limit); market prices stay frozen. The game has no accounts and keeps your save in your browser (Settings → Back up / restore save). If you choose Allow on the analytics banner, anonymous usage data is collected with Microsoft Clarity. Review or change your choice.
