The short version

Your save

Your company, money and progress are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser's data for this site deletes the save, and some browsers (Safari on iPhone and Mac) remove a site's data after several days without a visit. To keep a copy, use Settings → Back up / restore save in the game.

Analytics (only if you allow them)

If you choose Allow, the game uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how players use it, so confusing parts can be fixed.

Collected:

Never collected: anything you type, your company name, balances or other numbers, your name or email.

Clarity sets two cookies (_clck, _clsk) only after you allow it. The data is processed by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & analytics; choosing "No thanks" deletes those cookies and stops recording immediately.

Hosting

The game is a static website hosted by Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel's servers handle standard request information (such as your IP address) to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. We don't use that information to identify you.

Children

The game is meant for a general audience and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. It has no chat, no accounts and no way to contact other players. The in-game casino uses pretend money only: there is no real money and nothing to buy.

Questions

Use the Send feedback link in the game's Settings to reach us. If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.

Tapital Gains is a game. Company, stock and crypto names in it are made-up parodies; nothing in the game is financial advice.
